The 2009 Jersey Shore Art Festival will be held on Long Beach Island, NJ, more familiarly known as LBI.  Located just a few miles north of Atlantic City, LBI is but a short drive from Philadelphia and New York City, located off the Garden State Parkway.  June brings summer crowds seeking pristine beaches, soothing environs and quality shops, services and dining. Thousands of corporate leaders and celebrities from New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania bring their families to LBI to savor the beauty that this barrier island provides.  The cultural background of the area includes a vibrant history inspired artists, writers, and photographers since the turn of the century.

The island itself boasts 18 miles of beaches and is home to many historic sites including the iconic Barnegat Lighthouse, live performance theaters, artist residency programs and charming shopping villages. The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce will present the festival, winners of the New Jersey Governor’s Award for Tourism Excellence. The site location is Ethel Jacobson Field in Ship Bottom, which provides a central location on the island that is easily accessible to all traffic entering Long Beach Island.
